A new and exciting opportunity in acute Diabetes care has become available at West Herts NHS Trust.
The Diabetes Department are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff to join our team of experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurses to
drive forward quality care for patients with diabetes, with a special interest in pumps. The role can be potentially wide-ranging and will be
tailored to the skill of the applicant.
The role carries significant educational responsibility, within both one to one and group environments.
There will also be opportunities in service development, research and audit.
The post will involve working within a multi-disciplinary team; liaison with acute and community colleagues and will allow considerable
Training and support will be given to the successful candidate to assist with the development of the role.
There are extensive opportunities for continuing professional development. Experience at Band 6 level is essential.
A diabetes and/or teaching qualification would be an advantage.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
