Job overview

The Occupational Health Department has a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our clinical team at Watford General Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic OHA with NHS experience to work in the team. You will need to have a positive attitude towards the health and well-being of employees, in return you will have an interesting range of clinical work, case management and involvement in all areas of the Occupational Health remit.

The clinical tasks will include fitness for work assessments, workplace assessments, training to managers and workers, immunisation assessments, and health surveillance. There will be administrative tasks involved in this post, which will involve various computer-based programmes, experience with Microsoft office / OH software COHORT V10 maybe an advantage.




Main duties of the job

Applicants should hold the degree/diploma or certificate in Occupational Health and possess experience in case management, employment assessments, health surveillance and promotion along with the full remit of the role.

If you have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, then this post could be what you have been looking for.

To participate in the provision of a full Occupational Health Service to the staff of the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and their external clients.  To promote the health of the employees and safeguard their health from risks arising from their work and working environment. To be involved in the development of the service and to ensure the delivery of evidence based practice and the highest possible standards of care.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
