Job overview

Band 2 - Audiology Clerk, Audiology

To support the staff in Audiology. 15 hours per week, ideally 5 hours each on Monday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s.

The role will suit someone who likes a variety of duties, working in a team and being flexible within the role.

The Audiology Department has a good reputation of providing a quality service and any new member of staff will need to fit into that ethos.

Main duties of the job

Answering a busy telephone, making appointments, answering patient's queries and responding to calls on the answerphone. Dealing with post in and out. Sending patients hearing aid batteries and accessories. We require somoen who can work in a tema, are a good communicator and have empathy with the hearing impaired.

Previous NHS expierence will be essential along with good computer skills and expierence of working with the general public as there is a patient interaction on the phone and in person

  • To provide administrative services, support to the Audiology and Hearing Therapy Departments at West Hertfordshire Hospitals.
  • To Provide a quality service to the hearing impaired patients of West Hertfordshire
