Job overview
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us at our Education, Learning and Development Team. We offer an exciting entry-level position into an NHS Education, Learning and Development career which, for the right candidate, will provide a solid foundation in these areas and, if sought, a long and rewarding career path.
As an Education Centre and Corporate Induction Coordinator you will be integral to our education, learning and development provision, providing a friendly and professional reception service to our Education Centre as well as ensuring that education, learning and development courses are advertised to the whole Trust on our training systems and thereafter correctly clerked. You will additionally have responsibilities for reporting from, and maintaining, our training databases. You will also be happy to liaise with, support and, where necessary, train staff of all levels within the Trust on the use of our training systems and advise upon the appropriateness and availability of our courses to them.
Main duties of the job
You will have excellent communication skills combined with solid IT abilities as well as experience in databases and a good eye for detail. You will be able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision when necessary, but also as part of a team, both in the Education Centre and in the wider E, L&D department.
You will be primarily based in our Education Centre at Hemel Hempstead General Hospital

Ability to manage own workload and prioritise appropriately. Planning, organisational and time and resource management skills

Expertise in the administration of Totara platform Learning Management Systems
Sound working knowledge of electronic room booking systems
Full understanding of mandatory training administration, reporting and regulation in an NHS context, IT literate, with ability to use MS Office packages
Ability to operate training databases
