Job overview

Band 2 - Distribution Officer, Procurement (fixed term 12 months)

An opportunity to work in a busy, rewarding, customer-oriented environment. The role involves delivery of goods to the wards and departments at Watford General. Full training will be offered to successful candidates.

Main duties of the job

To assist in receiving all goods onto the hospital site, provide an efficient safe environment for holding and delivery onwards to their correct destinations.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Deliver goods to wards and departments wherever possible on day of receipt, carry out the unpacking of trolleys/pallets in a safe manner in a suitable location.

Receive goods into goods receiving area, safely unloading pallets/roll cages/tote boxes etc from vehicles, checking and signing driver’s documentation when service requires and in the absence of the Goods Receiving Officer (GRO).
