The Occupational Health Department has a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Health Advisor to join our clinical team at Watford General Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic OHA with NHS experience to work in the team.
You will need to have a positive attitude towards the health and well-being of employees, in return you will have an interesting range of clinical work, case management and involvement in all areas of the Occupational Health remit.
Main duties of the job
The clinical tasks will include fitness for work assessments, workplace assessments, training to managers and workers, immunisation assessments, and health surveillance. There will be administrative tasks involved in this post, which will involve various computer-based programmes, experience with Microsoft office / OH software COHORT V10 maybe an advantage.
Applicants should hold the degree/diploma in Occupational Health and
possess experience in complex case management, employment assessments, health surveillance and promotion along with the full remit of the role. If you have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, then this post could be what you have been looking for.
Some cross site working, and occasional home working is expected for this role.

Manage and provide professional leadership to Occupational Health Nurse Advisors and the wider multidisciplinary team within the Occupational Health department. To assist the Head of Occupational Health in leading and advancing clinical practice in line with DoH guidelines and legislation.
To provide all aspects of nursing care including consultation, advice, education, testing and immunisations where appropriate and in accordance with patient group directives and departmental protocols.
