We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team in a new, full-time role. As Space Management Project Co-ordinator, you will provide a comprehensive, professional, administrative and project support service to the Strategic Development team and Acute Redevelopment programme. This is an exciting time to join WHHT as we work towards redevelopment of the Watford General Hospital site and consider options for the remainder of the estate. The role is expected to have an equal split between administrative functions and project support.
Administrative support will be mainly (but not limited to) managing the secretarial functions in relation to the Trust’s Space Utilisation Policy and Process, including co-ordinating all paperwork (electronic and hard copy) for the monthly Space Utilisation Group (SUG) meetings, in which you will play a key role. There will also be the potential to support the intended development of a new E-referral system for SUG requests and improve/enhance the current Space Management intranet page.
The postholder will be central to the success of space management as well as take responsibility for specific small or medium scale projects, working under the direction of the Head of Property, to ensure workstreams are planned, co-ordinated, managed, reported correctly and completed in line with the project plans and timeframes.
The ideal candidate will have experience of, and/or a keen interest in, project and space management, ideally with PRINCE2 or a similar qualification. A background of working in a multi-skilled role with excellent ICT skills would also be highly beneficial.
The post holder will need to have the ability to travel between all the sites the Trust operates from; currently Watford General Hospital, St Albans City Hospital, Hemel Hempstead General Hospital and some off-site locations in Hertfordshire. It is important that you are flexible, approachable and a team player. The role may require you to work outside of normal working hours on occasion, as demand dictates.
Interviews will be held on the 28th June 2019.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
