Band 5 - Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrical), Environment

The Environment Division is looking to recruit qualified trade’s person to take on the role of Estates Maintenance Worker – Electrical Technician within its Estates Team.

 The role will undertake planned and reactive maintenance of complex electrical, mechanical and control systems across the diverse building services of the Trust estate.

 You will need to have the ability to analyse complex faults and undertake rectifications to ensure continuity of service.

 

Main duties of the job

You will also be required undertake  supervisory duties as and when required this will include assisting staff and contractors and managing the day to day work load and issuing of work via Archibus our work management system.

 We are seeking a highly motivated and professional individual who has the ability to prioritise workloads, identify potential improvement to operational system and management processes in order to increase departmental efficiencies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

A qualified tradesperson responsible for undertaking planned and reactive maintenance of complex electrical, mechanical and control systems across the diverse building services of the Trust estate.

The technician will have the ability to analyse complex faults and undertake rectifications to ensure continuity of service.

The technician will be able to prioritise his work loads, identify potential improvement to operational system and management processes in order to increase departmental efficiencies.

This role requires you to participate in the on-call rota covering the Hospital infrastructure out of hours, a clean driving licence would be beneficial and be able to be on site within 1 hour of being called out.

All staff required to undertake on-call commitments should be able to make their own way to and from the required locations.
