We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated experienced senior nurse with a passion for delivering high quality care to provide clinical and managerial leadership to our Breast /Gynae cancer clinical nurse specialist teams across our hospital sites.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in caring for breast cancer patients at band 7 or above with experience of stratified follow up and end of treatment planning being highly advantageous.
You will possess a degree, ideally a MSc or be working towards this as well as having excellent communication skills. You will be expected to represent the Service within the wider Trust as well as externally and be involved in discussions and contribute to service improvement.
The successful candidate will support the Macmillan Lead Nurse and the teams with the further development of our services ensuring our patients receive the best possible experience whilst in the acute Trust.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to lead a team of clinical nurse specialists whilst influencing local and strategic decision making. You will be given the autonomy to innovate and create opportunities to place nursing at the heart of our breast care service.
You will be expected to manage your own caseload of breast patients, whilst high standards of quality of care are delivered & maintained. The ability to develop effective working relationships and influence all members of the multidisciplinary teams is paramount to this rewarding role.
Informal visits are strongly recommended.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
